Cytotec is used in patients who are currently undergoing therapy with anti-inflammatory drugs (any of a class of drugs, including aspirin and ibuprofen, used for reducing inflammation and pain in rheumatic diseases. Possible adverse effects include gastric ulceration) to avoid developing ulcers. Cytotec can be also used to regulate certain other disorders if otherwise stated by your health care provider.
Cytotec is a potent hormone-like compound composed of essential fatty acids and found in all mammalian tissues, esp human semen. Prostaglandins stimulate the muscles of the uterus and affect the blood vessels.
Cytotec is to be taken three times a day (if not otherwise directed by your doctor) after your meals. Take your last dose of Cytotec directly before going into bed. Mind that one of the most peculiar Cytotec side effects is upset stomach which may aggravate when the drug is taken with meals and at bedtime. Do not take the drug with the substances used to neutralize acidity, esp in the stomach that have magnesium as their active component.
